Alert

An Evacuation ORDER has been issued for the Hillside Complex, Walgreens Apts, & Budge Dr. See email/link for details.

EVACUATION ORDER

BUDGE DRIVE HILLSIDE

Unified Commanders of the Jackson Police Department and Jackson Hole Fire/EMS have jointly issued an EVACUATION ORDER to all residents of Budge Drive, Walgreens apartments, and commercial businesses in the Hillside Complex due to the instability of the hillside in this area and concern for the safety of residents and their ability to leave the area should events escalate.

This Evacuation Order is a notice to residents that evacuation is mandated by 10:00 P.M. Mountain Standard Time, April 9, 2014, due to imminent public safety issues.  Once residents have exited Budge Drive, they will not be allowed back to their residence for any reason.  Those with mobility issues and special needs can contact TCSO Dispatch at 733-2331 for assistance.

Animals will be accepted at the Teton County/Jackson Animal Shelter and staff will be available at the shelter for receiving animals until 10:00 P.M.

All residents that are evacuees are to register at the Red Cross Trailer located in the Powderhorn Parking Lot so that notification can be provided once an evacuation order is lifted.  This Red Cross Trailer will be the meeting point for evacuees in need of shelter as well. Residents of the area are also allowed to park their vehicle or excess vehicles in any Town of Jackson public parking lot overnight and they will not be ticketed.

The Jackson Police Department will be going door to door to notify residents of this ORDER.  Once the order is lifted, residents will be contacted through the contact information provided at the Red Cross trailer and through press releases and Nixle.

Residents are encouraged to register for the Nixle Notification System and can do so at www.nixle.com or by texting TETON_WY to 888777.

Instructions:

Evacuees are asked to report to the Powderhorn Mall parking lot to provide contact information. Those with special needs should contact 733-2331 for assistance.
