Pomona Police Investigate Fatal Traffic Collision

VICTIM: Adult Male Hispanic (50 Years Old)
On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at about 5:37 A.M. Pomona Police Officers responded to an injury hit-and-run traffic collision involving a vehicle and a bicyclist in the area of Mission Blvd. and East End Avenue. Evidence at the scene suggests the bicyclist was attempting to cross East End Avenue when he was struck by a passing vehicle.
When Police arrived on the scene, they located a severely injured adult male down in the lanes of traffic. LA County Fire Department arrived on the scene to render treatment, but the bicyclist had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
The identity of the bicyclist is still unknown; identification by the Coroner's Office is pending. This collision is being investigated by the Pomona Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team.
