Seeking Community Assistance in Locating Three Suspects Involved in Shooting

Case #NP22-1446

On April 22, 2022, at approximately 9:14 PM, a shooting was reported in the parking lot of America’s Best Value Inn, located at 7600 Redwood Blvd. The victim was in the parking lot when he was approached by the first suspect, believed to be a Hispanic male, between the ages of 17-20 years old. Surveillance footage shows the first suspect wearing a dark colored jacket, with white stripes on the sleeves. According to the victim, the first suspect verbally confronted him before a physical fight occurred.
Following the assault, the second suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim. The suspect appears to be a Hispanic male, between the ages of 17-20 years old, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt with a white logo. The victim was transported to a hospital to receive medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to survive.
The third suspect was the driver of the vehicle that left the scene and appeared to be wearing a white sweatshirt. She is believed to be a Hispanic female between the ages of 17-20 years old.
The suspect vehicle appears to be a dark blue, newer model Hyundai Elantra or Nissan Altima. Currently, license plate information is unknown.
Prior to this incident, it was also reported that the first suspect had approached a person walking near the hotel and engaged in a similar verbal encounter. Further investigation suggests that these incidents appear gang related.
