Full Notification

On October 22^nd, 2020 at approximately 6:55 PM the Middle Township Police Department received a 911 report of an unconscious/unresponsive person at the Middle Township Public School’s Boyd Street Soccer Field located in the Cape May Court House section of the township.  Upon arrival it was revealed the subject had been found in a porta potty at the field and had been deceased for a period time.  The investigation revealed during the soccer game, which started at 6:00 PM, several people attempted to use the porta potty but it was locked.  Security was notified and was able to force the door open where they found the victim, John Hruska, age 36 of Cape May Court House, laying on the floor of the porta potty.  The preliminary investigation does not suggest foul play and that Hruska had entered the porta potty sometime earlier in the day.  If anyone has information about this incident, please call the Middle Township Department at 609-465-8700 or send an anonymous tip through the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department TIP 411 app.
