National Weather Service Issues Red Flag Warning

Critical Fire Weather Conditions Forecasted beginning 5:00 AM Wednesday, October 14th and are expected to last through 11:00 AM Friday, October 16th

A combination of low humidity, dry grass, brush and trees, and gusty north to east winds during this period will result in critical fire weather conditions over much of
interior Northern California including portions of Napa County. Extreme caution should be taken to prevent new fire starts.

* WIND...North to east wind 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
  Locally stronger gusts up to 50 mph over ridges.

* HUMIDITY...Minimum daytime humidity of 10 to 25 percent.
  Maximum overnight humidity between 20 and 45 percent. Locally
  lower overnight recoveries in the foothills.

* IMPACTS...Any new fires that develop will likely spread
  rapidly. Outdoor burning should be avoided.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
