San Benito County, California- April 6, 2020 - To date, a total of 369 patients in San Benito County have been tested for COVID-19 at eight reporting laboratories. Of these, 313 have tested negative for COVID-19 and 26 are pending results. Sixty percent (221) of patients tested were female. Patients ages ranged from 2 years to 101 years (median: 46 years).
San Benito County Public Health Services continues to work with medical providers to identify and test individuals who meet criteria for COVID-19 testing. As of April 6, 2020, there have been a total of 30 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in San Benito County; 13 cases remain active. Confirmed cases include patients who have since recovered and those who are deceased. Fifteen patients have recovered and are no longer considered active cases in San Benito County. A total of two deaths have been reported in San Benito County, one during weeks 12 and 14, respectively. All results included in this update are current to April 6, 2020 at 12:00PM.
