Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Shirley last night.
 
Vincent Roscigno was driving a 2018 Hyundai sedan southbound on William Floyd Parkway, on the Sunrise Highway overpass, when the vehicle struck an adult male in the roadway at approximately 8:15 p.m. The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead. Roscigno, 22, of Shirley, was not injured.
 
The Hyundai was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
