Children of Incarcerated Military Veterans to Receive Christmas Gifts at Harris County Jail
What: Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez is partnering with the non-profit Navidad en el Barrio to provide Christmas gifts for dozens of children whose fathers participate in the Brothers in Arms program for incarcerated military veterans. The children – ranging in age from 2 months to 15 years – will get to spend time with their fathers, share a meal, and open gifts that were purchased with money donated by Sheriff Gonzalez personally for the fathers to deliver to their children.
Who: Harris County Sheriff’s Office staff, representatives from Navidad en el Barrio, and participants in the Brothers in Arms chaplaincy program
When: Friday, Dec. 27 at 10:30 a.m.
