Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that resulted in a man being shot in Wyandanch last night.
 
First Precinct officers responded to a 911 report of shots fired at the corner of Straight Path and N 11^th Street at approximately 10:50 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old Wyandanch man on that corner with two gunshot wounds to his leg. The victim had been assaulted, robbed and shot by a man who fled the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Two unoccupied parked motor vehicles were also struck by bullets. The motor vehicles were impounded for evidence.
 
Detectives are asking anyone with information of the shooting to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
