Update on the PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoffs for 10-26-19

Heavy winds and high fire danger conditions expected tonight will result in preventive power shutoffs for nearly 50,000 PG&E customers throughout Contra Costa County, and as many as 6,000 in Walnut Creek alone.

PG&E has said the outages in Walnut Creek are expected to begin around 5:00 p.m. today, primarily impacting Rossmoor and the Northgate communities.

City Public Works crews will be able to maintain generator support for key intersections along Tice Valley, Blvd., Ygnacio Valley Road and Oak Grove Road. At any intersection where the signals are out, you should treat it as a 4-way stop.

Tice Valley Gym at 2055 Tice Valley Blvd. will be open Sunday, October 27, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. to allow for charging phones and other electronics. Bottled water and restrooms will also be available onsite.

The best indicator of whether or not your property will be impacted is to use the address lookup tool at https://psps.ss.pge.com.
