Western areas of Glenn County and areas in Artois will likely lose power overnight into early hours of Wednesday 10/9 due to severe wind event. Power restoration may take up to 5 days.
Elk Creek will be out of power. Elk Creek schools will be closed Wednesday 10/9 and Thursday 10/10. 

All residents should be prepared for power outage, regardless of in the impacted area or not. The wind may result in additional storm related outages anywhere in the county.

Residents can check their address of the PG&E website to determine if they are in the planned outage area: www.pge.com/psps

Residents should have 5 days of food and water, fill up your gas tanks in your cars, have cash on hand for purchases, freeze bottles of water and use to keep refrigerators cold. Charge all devices today and have flashlights and batteries available. It is going to be cool, so natures air conditioning can be used to stay cool.

Charging Locations:

Two mobile charging sites will be available:

• Glenn County will host a trailer with generator at Elk Creek High School for charging
  • Wednesday, 10/9 1 pm to 5 pm
  • Thursday, 10/10 11 am to 4 pm
  • Friday 10/11 11 am to 4 pm
• PG&E will host a community charging site at 839 Newville Rd. Orland, CA. starting Wednesday 10/9. Hours are expected to be 8 am to 6 pm

Glenn County HHSA will have two of their sites available to the public for charging devices Wednesday, 10/9 through Friday 10/11 8 am to 5 pm

• Public Health 240 N. Villa Ave. Willows, CA
• Glenn Grow/HHSA Nova complex 125 E. Walker St. Orland, CA
