Vehicular Crimes Updating Single Vehicle Accident In Cypress.

July 5, 2019, Vehicular Crimes investigators are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred early this morning in far northwest Harris County.

The 2004 Dodge Ram with five occupants was traveling eastbound on Knebel Road around 3:45 a.m.

Its driver , a 20-year-old man ,failed to stop at the stop sign on Knebel Road at Stokes Road.

The truck left the roadway, coming to rest in the ditch on the east side of Stokes Road.

The unrestrained back right passenger, a 12-year-old girl, was ejected from the vehicle and was reported to have landed in a water-filled ditch.

Local EMS personnel administered CPR to her. The girl was initially driven to Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital and subsequently flown by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann in the Texas Medical Center for further emergency treatment.

Her condition is currently critical but stable.

The driver and the back left passenger, a 21-year-old man ,were driven to Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands.

Life Flight also flew both the front seat center passenger, a 15-year-old girl, and front right passenger , a 15-year-old boy to Memorial Hermann in the Texas Medical Center.

The HCSO Vehicular Crimes say that the driver was the only occupant wearing a seat belt.

All four other victims were unrestrained. Evidence gathered in this case will be presented to prosecutors for possible criminal charges.
