Teen stabbed, robbed by three suspects in El Verano

A 17-year-old El Verano boy was stabbed several times by three suspects while walking to a local store. Deputies met the teen yesterday at about 3:45 PM when they were dispatched to the Sonoma Valley Hospital on a report that he had been stabbed multiple times. When they met the victim, he told them he had been walking to Caselli’s Market on Bay Street. When he was at the intersection of Railroad and El Verano Ave there were three male suspects in a grey cube style car like a Nissan Cube or a possibly a Scion. They asked him if he was in a gang and then started calling out gang style sayings before he could respond. The car drove away and the victim continued walking.
Once the victim reached the 19000 block of Bay Street the same car pulled up very quickly. One suspect got out of the right front passenger side of the car and started fighting the suspect. The victim went to the ground and the driver and rear seat passenger then started hitting the victim in the torso with knives. The suspects stole $5.00 from the victim and then fled in the car. The victim was able to walk back to his home where his family was able to get him help. He was treated and later released from the Sonoma Valley Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Violent Crimes Unit were called to the scene and are looking for suspects who are described as a skinny white male in his 20’s, a light skinned Hispanic male in his late teens with a ponytail and a Hispanic male in his 20’s with a medium build.
