Four people arrested after gang-related armed robbery.

Four people were arrested late last night after robbing a man at knifepoint.  At approximately 10:15 p.m., a victim called the Sheriff’s Office stating he had just been robbed on Moorland Avenue near West Robles Avenue in Santa Rosa.  The victim was walking on Moorland Avenue when four men got out of a car and surrounded him.  They took his belongings, including a backpack and a cell phone.  One of them held a knife.

Several deputies searched the area while another deputy talked to the victim, who was not hurt.  About 20 minutes after the victim called for help, a deputy found the car with the four suspects.  They were in the parking lot of a gas station on McMinn Avenue near Sebastopol Road.  He pulled them over with the assistance of a Santa Rosa Police officer.

The four suspects were identified as Juan Jose Bernabe-Vega, 20, Santa Rosa; Daniel Avalos-Arreguin, 18, Santa Rosa; Cristian Hernandez Gonzalez, 18, Santa Rosa; and a minor.  Bernabe-Vega and Hernandez Gonzalez are known gang members.  The robbery appeared to be gang-related with a random victim.  Deputies found all the victim’s belongings in the car, except his cell phone, and returned them to him.

The three adults were charged with felony conspiracy and felony armed robbery and booked into the jail.  Bernabe-Vega and Avalos-Arreguin are being held on $50,000 bail each.  Hernandez Gonzalez was released on $50,000 bail.  The minor was cited and released to his parents.
