Armed robbery with gunshot victim on Highway 170/Broad River Boulevard. Expect increased law enforcement presence 
Shortly after 8:00 p.m., an armed robbery incident occurred outside of a residence on the corner of Highway 170 and Broad River Boulevard. According to the victim, two unknown African-American male subjects attempted to rob him at gunpoint and shot him once in the leg. After shooting the victim, the two subjects fled on foot. The victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services to the Beaufort Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Sheriff's Office deputies and K-9 units are on scene searching for the two subjects. Residents in the area of Highway 170 and Broad River Boulevard can expect an increased law enforcement presence over the next few hours. Anyone with information on the identities or whereabouts of the two subjects should call Sheriff's Office Emergency Dispatch 9-1-1.
