Child in Good Condition After Crash In Crosby.

Vehicular Crimes investigators are releasing information on a two vehicle accident that involved one driver failing to control speed and another driver with three children unrestrained in the other.

Investigators say that 42- year- old woman was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro in the 13549 block of the F.M. 2100 at the Highway 90 east bound exit ramp at around 8:45 p.m., on Saturday January 19, 2019.

As the female driver was approaching a 2014 Dodge Dart driven by a 30-year-old male with 4 children in the car. One child was in the front seat with a seat belt, but three children were in the backseat with no seat belts restraining them.

The Camaro, failing to stop in time, struck the back end of the Dart at a high rate of speed.

Three of the children were transported by ground in good condition, but a 7-year-old child that was sitting behind the driver was unresponsive as deputies and EMS personnel arrived.

The child was transported by Life-Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital (Downtown).

The child’s condition is good and expected to make a full recovery.

The female driver was issued a citation for failure to control speed.

Traffic deputies are still investigating the male driver as to why the children were unrestrained in the vehicle.

By state law, children must be restrained appropriately at all times when travelling in a car, these types of accidents stress the importance of that.
