Advisory

UPDATE - (Thurs, Jan. 17, 5:10 PM) The evacuation orders for specific properties in the Woolsey Fire burn area have been lifted.

The evacuation orders for specific properties in the Woolsey Fire burn area have been lifted, but Unified Command will continue to monitor conditions.

Residents of the evacuated properties have been notified directly.

The potential for falling rocks, mud and debris flow still exists and residents should maintain good situational awareness when reentering the area. Residents returning to evacuated areas can expect to see continuous running water at Arizona crossings and light mud and rock coverage on portions of roadway. Many canyon and local roads will be slippery, and all motorists are urged to drive slowly and cautiously. Do not attempt to cross flooded areas and never enter moving water.

Road closures at Malibu Canyon Road and Topanga Canyon Road will remain in place until Los Angeles County Public Works and CalTrans can ensure the stability of the hillsides.

The public is reminded to stay vigilant on current weather conditions. For additional information go to Malibucity.org or call 310-456-2489.
