Full Notification

On Saturday, September 8, 2018 at approximately 3:43 a.m., the Middle Township Police Department responded to the Rio Grande Mobile Home Park, located in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township, for a 9-1-1 call of a reported stab victim.  Responding officers found the victim, Andrew Wells,  age 41, of Rio Grande, lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds throughout his body.  Wells was immediately provided emergency medical aid and transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, in Atlantic City, NJ.  Wells was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 
 
An extensive investigation conducted by the Middle Township Police Department’s Uniformed Patrol Division, Major Crimes Unit, and Street Crimes Unit identified three (3) subjects responsible for the stabbing of Wells.  Harry Angstadt Jr., age 27 of Rio Grande, James W. Donnelly, age 24 of North Cape May and Christopher F. Fox, age 22 of Rio Grande.
 
The Honorable Judge Marian Ragusa issued warrants for Angstadt Jr, Donnelly, and Fox.  They were each charged with the following criminal charges in connection with the stabbing; Aggravated Assault, a crime of the 2nd degree, and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault, a crime of the 2nd degree.  Additional charges are pending for each subject.
 
Fox and Donnelly were both arrested and ultimately lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center, pending court proceedings.  Harry Angstadt Jr. has not been located at this time.
