National Police Week 
In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. May 13th through May 19th is National Police Week. Police officers make sacrifices every day that most never see. For too many the sacrifice is their life. Police officers choose this noble profession because they want to serve you, put themselves in harm’s way to protect others and make a difference. Please join me in saying Thank You to all of the officers that protect and serve us each and every day.
