Female Arrested After Threats Made to Atlantic Cape Community College and State of Employment Services
On Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018, The Middle Township Police Department received information that a student who takes online courses through the Atlantic Cape Community College, located in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township, posted a threatening message on Facebook.
After further investigation, it was discovered that a twenty-seven (27) year old female, Dara Kingsman, posted on Facebook that she wanted to blow up unemployment or ACCC. The statement to blow up ACCC, the Atlantic Cape Community College, and unemployment, the New Jersey State of Employment Services, was a general threat and an exact location was not provided in the threat.
Ms. Kingsman was criminally charged accordingly with Terroristic Threats, a third-degree crime, and released from the Middle Township Police Department without incident.
The Atlantic Cape Community College, located in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township, was searched by the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit. There is no cause for concern at this time and the Atlantic Cape Community College remains open.
This investigation was conducted by the Middle Township Police Department’s Patrol Division and Major Crimes Unit, as well as, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
