HCSO: Sheriff Gonzalez and Area Law Enforcement Join for Holiday DWI Enforcement.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez and the HCSO family wish you a Happy New Year and remind you that our deputies will be out enforcing the law in an effort to reduce alcohol and drug-related traffic incidents.

The HCSO's Vehicular Crimes Unit and DWI Task Force, along with other area law enforcement partners, will be conducting DWI enforcement initiatives throughout unincorporated Harris County this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 30, and 31.

HCSO will be able to provide extra deputies to patrol our streets thanks to a Texas Department of Transportation Impaired Driving Mobilization grant.

“For those that choose to drive drunk, be warned that the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is out in force watching for you, Sheriff Gonzalez said .. “ We have plenty of space in the county jail for people who endanger others’ lives by driving drunk. “

- Celebrate but DO NOT drink and drive! Remember, "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."
