4 Businesses Burglarized in Rio Grande, Investigation Leads to Arrest
On October 15th, 2017 at approximately 3:30 AM the Middle Township Police received a report of a burglar alarm at the AT&T store located at 3301 Route 9 South in the Rio Grande section of the township. Upon arrival officers had found a rock had been thrown through the front glass door causing damage but no entry had been made. An adjacent business, Rio Nails, also had a rock thrown through the front glass door where entry was made and approximately $400.00 was taken. Gamestop and Oriental Nails, both located at 1500 Route 47 South in Rio Grande were also burglarized. Video from the businesses revealed a description of the suspect and it was relayed to patrol. The subject was located at the Motel 6, 1604 Route 47 South in Rio Grande. Brandon D. Wilson, age 19 of Paulsboro, was placed under arrest and charged with 4 counts of Burglary, 3rd Degree and 1 count of Theft, 4th Degree. Additionally, it was revealed the vehicle Wilson was in possession of, a 2017 Nissan Maxima, was stolen out of Sewell, NJ. Wilson was also charged with Receiving Stolen Property, 3rd Degree. Wilson was processed and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility.
