Arrest Made for May 27th Burglary and Theft of ATM at Court House Diner

On May 27th, 2017, the Middle Township Police Department received a report of a burglary that occurred at the Court House Diner located at 218 North Main Street in the Cape May Court House section of the Township.  Further investigation revealed sometime between 11:00 PM on May 26th and 6:45 AM on May 27th, the phone, cable, and internet lines were all cut at the business, which are located on the north side of the building. The lock on the north lobby door, along Stone Harbor Blvd., was removed and the unknown suspect(s) entered the lobby and stole an ATM, containing approximately $4,040.00. The unknown suspect(s) then drug the ATM on the sidewalk, on the north side of the building to the last parking space facing the building, near the dumpster.   It is believed the ATM was then loaded into a vehicle and removed from the scene.   Information was developed which lead to the arrest of Gregory Lazicki, age 27, of the Burleigh section of the Township.  Lazicki was charged with Burglary and Theft both 3rd degree crimes and Criminal Mischief a 4th degree crime.  Lazicki was served on October 3rd at the Cape May County Correctional Facility where he was being held on unrelated charges.
