On Monday, September 4, 2017, at 7:55 AM, Corcoran officers initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 2000 block of Josephine Avenue. Officers contacted the driver, Konstance Fortune, and her passengers, Joseph Desosries and Jose Munoz. Fortune, was found to be driving on a suspended license. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located a loaded 9 mm handgun under the front passenger seat, and two bindles of methamphetamine in the back seat. Joseph Desosries was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He was also found to have two active arrest warrants. The rear passenger, Jose Munoz, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine. Joseph Desosries was booked into the Corcoran Police Department Jail and later transported to the Kings County Jail where his bail was set at $130,000.00. Konstance Fortune and Jose Munoz were both booked into the Corcoran City Jail and released with citations to appear at the Hanford Superior Court.
