Search Warrant Leads to Arrest for Heroin Distribution in Rio Grande 
On Wednesday, July 26, 2017, the Middle Township Police Department's Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Motel 6, 1604 SH47 South, room # 124, in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township. As a result, Alexis L. Ruiz, age 21, was arrested and two hundred and twenty-four (224) wax folds of heroin and $517.00 in US currency were seized.
Ruiz was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, both crimes of the third degree. Ruiz was placed on a warrant and lodged in the Cape May County Jail.
