Arrest made in fatal stabbing of Pomona man

CRIME: 187 PC – Homicide
VICTIM: Male adult, 21 years old, Pomona resident (Name withheld pending Coroner’s identification)
SUSPECT: Cheyenne Lywood, 20 years of age, Pomona resident
UNIT: Investigative Services Division – Homicide Unit
NARRATIVE:
On July 7, 2017 at approximately 12:12 AM, Pomona Police officers and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to 911 calls of a disturbance at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of W. Valley Blvd. Upon their arrival, they located a male adult victim in a vehicle suffering from a stab wound. Emergency personnel attempted life saving measures, but were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives were called out to investigate. During their investigation, it was learned that a domestic violence incident occurred between the suspect and her boyfriend. During this incident, the victim was stabbed. The suspect, Cheyenne Lywood was arrested and booked for 187 PC – Murder. Her bail is set at 2 million dollars.
