Full Notification

On 05/26/2017 at approximately 9:15 PM, William Crawford, age 54, of Atlantic City,  was found to have been stabbed in his abdomen and right bicep while at 203 Linden Lane, located in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township. Officers arrived and found his girlfriend holding a towel on Crawford’s wounds and screaming to get him help. Crawford was incoherent at the time and was immediately transported by Rio Grande Rescue to a landing zone, where he was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, in Atlantic City, via helicopter. This investigation remains active and we have no suspects at this time. The Middle Township Police Department’s Patrol Divison and Major Crimes Unit investigated with the assistance of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office. Crawford remains at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in stable condition.  Anyone with any information in reference to this incident please contact the Middle Township Police Department at 609-465-8700.
