(Harris County, TX) A Harris County Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Unit investigation has concluded with the conviction of a 55 year old man, and sentenced to Life in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Investigators say that Louis Henry West (DOB 10/21/61), was indicted for two counts of indecency with a child (touching genitals) a first degree felony.
Child Abuse investigators were first made aware of the sexual abuse after one of two children he would babysit made an outcry to her mother.
West, a close friend to both families, would watch the children ages 7 and 10 years old during the day as their parents worked.
During the course of the investigation, the second child came forward and told investigators of sexual abuse by West.
Investigators presented evidence to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, and West was indicted in June of 2014.
West is being held in the Harris County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility awaiting transfer.
