Court House man arrested for assault on a police officer
On January 16, 2017 the Middle Township Police Department received a 911 call reporting a disorderly person on Tally Ho Road in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township. Upon the arrival of patrol officers the accused, Ginelryan Jean, 21 years of age, who resides at 5 Tally Ho Road was smashing items in the house and was combative upon contact with Corporal Norton and Patrolman Reardon.
Ginelryan Jean was told he was under arrest and disregarded the officer’s commands to comply. He became aggressive towards the officers and physically bent the handcuffs when attempting to place him in custody. A conductive energy device (Taser) was deployed, which failed to neutralize his aggression as he ripped the probes off his body, and continued to be uncooperative.
Ginelryn Jean was finally subdued and shackled upon the arrival of additional officers. He was charged with Aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, Disorderly conduct and Resisting arrest.
