Press Release

On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at approximately 11:16 AM, a Corcoran Police Officer observed a warrant suspect walking in the 2300 block of Patterson Avenue. When the officer turned his marked patrol car around to make contact with the suspect, the suspect ran into a relative’s residence in the area and locked himself inside. Officers attempted to negotiate the subject’s surrender, but the subject told officers he was not going to jail and that he did not believe the warrants were valid. The officers were able to force their way into the residence with the assistance of the homeowner. While Officers attempted to arrest the suspect, he physically resisted in the area his mother was standing and was subsequently subdued with the use of a Taser.
The suspect’s mother was also arrested after she attempted to obstruct the officers and struck one of them in the process.

Christopher Aguirre, 31, of Corcoran was arrested on the warrants and fresh charges of Obstructing a Peace Officer and was booked into the Kings County Jail and was held without bail. Stella Aguirre, 58, of Corcoran was booked into the Kings County Jail on a charge of Obstructing, and Battery on a Peace Officer. She was held on $55,000 bail
