( Harris County, TX ) on Friday May 20, 2016, at approximately 10:00 am , members of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division were attempting to serve a felony warrant on 38 year old Scott Michael Inman for sexual assault.

The deputies were at his residence located in the 400 block of Bickett Lane, when Inman drove by the residence and was spotted by patrol deputies assisting in the warrant.

Inman fled the scene in a pickup truck, and drove north on Interstate 45 with deputies in pursuit.

HCSO District 2 patrol deputies reported that Inman was waving a pistol, and threating suicide.

The slow speed chase left Harris County and members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office began following Inman until his truck was disabled by spike strips laid down by deputies.

The vehicle was stopped north of FM 1488, with Inman sitting in the driver side with the pistol to his head.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit and their Hostage Negotiation Team members made contact with Inman who surrendered without incident.

Inman was turned over to HCSO Warrants Division personnel, were he now faces an additional charge of felony evading.
