On 12/20/2015 at about 1:50am, Walnut Creek Police officers responded to Mel’s Diner on the corner of N. Main St. and Cypress Ave. to investigate a physical altercation. One of the involved parties sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Another involved subject, Bryce Halliday, was detained nearby and placed under arrest. A review of surveillance video suggests there may have been witnesses to the incident. If you were a witness or have information about the incident, please contact Det. Mauro at 925-943-5881.
