HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Tonight across Houston and Harris County neighbors gather to celebrate National Night Out 2015. October 6, 2015 marks the 31st anniversary of the community based public safety event.

2014’s National Night Out involved over 37.8 million participants in 16,242 communities from all 50 States, US territories, Canada and military bases worldwide. 2015’s national night out is expected to be the largest ever!

Along with traditional outside lights and front porch vigils, one community will be celebrating the special dedication of a living memorial to fallen Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Goforth.

MUD #230 will dedicate the memorial at Mandolin Garden’s Park located at 10311 ½ Summit Bridge Lane. The dedication is scheduled to being at 6:30 PM, followed by an aerial display by the HCSO Air Support Unit.
