On November 30, 2013 at 2227 hours, Sonoma County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call from a Windsor resident reporting that someone had entered her vehicle without her knowledge and confronted her as she drove away from the Quick Shop and Deli at 8197 Old Redwood Hwy in Windsor. The 53 year old female victim reported she had driven to the Quick Shop and Deli, parked outside, and entered the store to make a purchase. After purchasing items, the victim exited the store and returned to her vehicle. As the victim drove away, she was confronted by an unknown suspect in the backseat of her vehicle.

The vicitm stated, after being confronted by the suspect, she jumped from the vehicle and ran back to the Quick Shop and Deli for help. The suspect, who was not known to the victim, fled the scene when the victim yelled for help as she was running away. The victim described the suspect as a hispanic male, 25-30 yrs old, 5’6” to 5’7” tall, and between 140-150 lbs. The suspect was wearing a dark colored hoodie and dark pants.

Windsor Police Deputies responded to the area and arrived a few minutes after receiving the call. Deputies located the victims unoccupied vehicle on Shadetree Ln just east of Old Redwood Hwy. A perimeter was quickly established and a search of the area was conducted with negative results.

The name of the victim is not being release at this time because the suspect is unknown and there is an ongoing investigation.

The case has been referred to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office – Violent Crimes Investigations Unit for further investigation. (707) 565-2185.
