UPDATE WITH IDs: 'ROAD RAGE' INVOLVING MARRIED COUPLE LEADS TO DEATH OF UNRELATED BAYTOWN WOMAN 
A man apparently maneuvering his pickup truck to interfere with a second vehicle driven by his wife instead collided head-on with a third vehicle this morning, killing that vehicle's driver and severely injuring her pre-school-age son on FM 1943 near Garth Road.
Charges against the driver of the pick-up, Emil McMahon, were pending the results of tests on his blood, which was drawn at LBJ Hospital, where he was treated for injuries. His wife apparently did not sustain serious injuries.
The woman was killed while driving westbound on FM 1943 just before 11 a.m. She has been identified as Tania M. Vercher of Baytown. Her son was in critical condition tonight at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center hospital.
According to information gathered by HCSO investigators, the man tried to run his wife off the road while they were eastbound. His pickup then entered the westbound lane and hit the Baytown woman's car. His vehicle burst into flames.
The man apparently had been trying to force his wife off the road as part of a dispute between them.
