UNDERCOVER PROSTITUTION STING NETS OVER DOZEN ARRESTS 
(HOUSTON, TX) – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Vice Unit, along with assistance from Constable Precinct 4, arrested over a dozen men and women during several prostitution stings in north Harris County this week.
The operation targeted suspects who solicit sex from prostitutes and the prostitutes themselves.
The operation was conducted along the I-45 North and Eastex Freeway frontage roads, just south of Beltway 8.
The operation entailed undercover female deputies posing as prostitutes working the streets, along with male undercover deputies who were canvassing the area searching for females who were soliciting sex for money.
As a result of the investigation 16 people were arrested. All were charged with prostitution.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office will continue to conduct similar reverse prostitution operations year round targeting not only those who solicit sex but those who sell sex as well.
