INVESTIGATION OF SCHOOL STABBINGS LEADS TO LONE SUSPECT, AGE 17
Sheriff's investigators are questioning a 17-year-old male now considered the sole suspect in this morning's stabbings at Spring High School in which a teenager was killed and three others were injured.
Two other young individuals had been questioned as "persons of interest" and are now considered witnesses to a crime, according to investigators.
No charges have been filed against the suspect yet. People 17 or older are considered adults under Texas criminal law.
Sheriff Adrian Garcia urges the public to share any tips about the attack with the Sheriff's Office and Crime Stoppers of Houston. That can be done anonymously through the iWatchHarrisCounty smart phone app.
Further details will be released when they become available.
