Narrative:
On 12/10/11 at approximately 3:00 a.m., Walnut Creek Police received a call of an auto burglary that just occurred in the area of Matisse Ct. and Monet Cir in Walnut Creek. The caller reported a subject just broke a window to a vehicle. The suspect was described as wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and riding a black BMX style bicycle.

Several officers responded to the area and set up a perimeter. Within minutes of arriving, an officer saw a subject who resembled the description given, in the area of the Contra Costa Canal Trail and N. Main St. As the officer approached the subject, he fled on the bike. A search was done in the area by several officers including a WCPD K9 Unit. The suspect was located hiding in the backyard on Cela Court.

The suspect was identified as Chris Yorrie, the bicycle and stolen property was located a short distance from where he was hiding. He was taken to County Jail and booked for burglary, possession of a controlled substance, and for violating his probation.
