A construction worker was working in front of 455 N Wiget Ln and struck a natural gas line causing a leak. The Fire Department responded and PG&E has estimated a 2 1/2 hour eta to repair the leak. As a precaution there have been evacuations at the Kaiser Shasta Building at 455 N Wiget Ln, Kaiser Lassen Building at 370 Lennon and the PG&E Building located at 375 N Wiget Ln. It will be difficult if you are trying to get to appointments in the area. The Walnut Creek Police Department is on scene providing traffic control and all questions regarding this matter should be referred to the Contra Costa Fire Department at 925-930-5500.
