Third Public Safety Power Shutoff planned for Tuesday (10/29) may have less impact on Fremont.

The Public Safety Power Shutoff planned for Tuesday, October 29, may have less of an impact on Fremont.  We strongly recommend checking the PG&E planned outage map (link below) to see if you are in a potentially affected area.

PG&E has announced a Public Safety Power Shutdown (PSPS) will begin early Tuesday morning, October 29, 2019.  The plan and schedule is contingent upon weather conditions and patterns. Areas in Fremont, primarily east of Niles and Mission Blvd (Canyon Heights), and south to interstate 680 (Vargas Rd.) may once again be impacted.  PG&E began notifying potentially affected customers over the weekend.  We anticipate the scope of the area to be smaller than what we experienced during the first two PSPS events.

We would strongly advise residents and/or businesses in this general area, use the PG&E address search feature (link below) to see if you may be impacted.

Please be advised that the impacted areas listed on the map may change.

In response to the planned power outage, the City of Fremont will monitor and coordinate resources to mitigate issues impacting our community as necessary.
