Homicide Investigation

 

Dearborn, MI - On Friday, September 20, 2019, at approximately 7:45 am, the Dearborn Police Department responded to the area of Paul and the Southfield Freeway on report of an unresponsive female who had been located in a secluded area.  Upon officers’ arrival, they discovered an injured 34-year-old female Taylor resident.  Responding officers and Detroit Fire Department personnel immediately rendered first aid to the victim.  The female was pronounced deceased at the scene by Fire Department personnel.

 

Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to identify, gather evidence, and canvas the area for potential witnesses.

 

The victim has been identified, but her name is being withheld pending family notification.

 

The Dearborn Police Department is asking Detroit residents in the area of Paul and the Southfield Freeway to please check their security camera systems for any suspicious activity between the hours of 4:00 am and 9:30 am on today’s date.

 

This incident is still under investigation so this information is subject to change.  Additional details will be released as they become available.

 

Police Chief Ronald Haddad stated, “The Dearborn Police will coordinate all resources in an effort to bring the subject(s) to justice.”
