#024 Residential Burglary
4200 block of Santa Monica Terrace – Unknown suspect(s) entered the house and stole personal belongings.

#027 Robbery
A suspect reached into an occupied vehicle located in the 1100 block of Chopin Terrace and stole items.  The suspect fled on foot through an apartment complex.  The suspect was described as a Black male adult in his 20’s.  He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Auto Burglaries:
#008 through #012 - 46000 block of Landing Pkwy – Several work trucks were burglarized, and the loss was tools.

#001 Robbery – Gun Involved
Officers were dispatched to the area of Chapel and Fremont for a reported gun call.  Upon arrival, officers determined it was a street robbery that had just occurred.  Three suspect(s) approached a victim and asked if he was a Norteno.  The suspects then racked a handgun and stole the victim’s designer brand belt.  They ran to an awaiting dark blue Mini- Cooper and fled southbound Fremont.  Only suspect descriptions are as follows: #1- Hispanic male in his 20s, black hoodie, blue bandana around face; #2- Hispanic male wearing a mask and had a mustache, #3- unknown description.

#004 Auto Burglary
A victim called to report they could see three suspects inside their parked vehicle, in the 5300 block of Mowry Ave.  The suspect vehicle was described as a 4-door silver Hyundai last seen driving westbound on Mowry Ave.  The suspects were not located.

#005 Robbery
A victim called police to report her purse was stolen in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave.  The 35 year old female suspect was located by officers in a nearby neighborhood and arrested.  The stolen property was returned to the victim.

#024 Petty Theft
A victim in the 4800 block of Seneca Park Ave called to report property was stolen from their unlocked vehicle, and they had surveillance footage of the suspect.  The suspect was Hispanic or light skinned Black male, wearing a dark baseball hat, dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans and black shoes with white markings. 

#005 Auto Burglary
Officers were dispatched to the 40000 block of Sundale Drive for a reported auto burglary.  The victim went outside of his residence to find a suspect inside his truck.  The victim confronted the suspect who subsequently ran to an awaiting blue Mini-Cooper (possibly the same vehicle from the robbery/gun call Thursday).  The victim described three Hispanic males as being the suspects inside of the Mini-Cooper.  The victim threw a bottle at the suspect vehicle and broke out the rear window.  The suspects fled southbound on Sundale and were not located.  Officers are checking community camera’s for any potential suspect leads. 

#008 Commercial Burglary
Owners of the Union 76 Gas at Warm Springs saw a subject use a crowbar to get into the store.  The suspect left in a white Ford Explorer with a covered plate.  The suspect was described as wearing a black beanie, blue shirt, blue pants, and blue shoes.  Case investigated by Ofc. Maniego.

#021 Robbery – Purse Snatch
A strong armed robbery occurred at the Ranch 99 center in north Fremont. The victim had her purse snatched by a Hispanic woman.  The suspect fled in a gold four door Toyota Corolla.  No further suspect description.

#034/035 Battery and DUI Crash
Units responded to a fight in progress on Rosegate Dr.  Officers arrived and detained two suspects while a third fled in a white Ford Ranger. Multiple officers responded to the area and found the Ford Ranger unoccupied after it crashed into a fence of a residence on Ridgeview Tr.  Officers searched the yard of the residence and located the driver and placed him under arrest.  The driver was under the influence of acid and had to be placed in a WRAP control device.  The driver was arrested for DUI and transported to a hospital. The driver was uncooperative at the hospital and a Mcneeley warrant was obtained to collect his blood.  The battery was investigated by Officer Hernandez and the DUI crash was investigated by Traffic Officer Ramsey.

#039 Public Intoxication Arrest
Officer Huey, FTO Soper, and Officer Chahouati were dispatched to the area of Garden and Blacow for a transient behind a residence who was being loud.  Upon contact, a 58 year old man was contacted and found to be drunk in public.  Officer Huey arrested the man and transported him to the FPD jail for booking.

#001 Major Injury Collision
Multiple callers advised of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in the area of Mission Boulevard and Mojave.  All zone 3 midnight officers responded to the collision and found the unidentified pedestrian suffering from major injuries.  The driver of the vehicle was cooperative with the investigation and stated that a transient pedestrian was jaywalking and that the driver did not see the pedestrian until after the collision.  The driver volunteered to provide a chemical sample and was subsequently transported to a local hospital.  It is not believed that drugs or alcohol are factors in the collision. Located next to the downed pedestrian was an airsoft replica gun that appeared to have been in the possession of the pedestrian prior to the collision.  The pedestrian was non-responsive and transported to a trauma center where he was treated for multiple injuries.  Last checked, the pedestrian was listed in stable condition.  A traffic callout was initiated to handle the investigation.

#008 Sex Registrant - Out of Compliance
Officer Hancock and FTO Kennedy initiated a pedestrian stop and contacted a 60 year old man, Fremont transient.  The man was active to parole for child molestation and was out of compliance with his sex registration requirements.  He was arrested and booked for being out of compliance. 

#030 Public Intoxication Arrest
A community member advised of a transient male on the ground and cursing in front of Wells Fargo Bank. Officers arrived and contacted the 65 year old who had a stay-away order from the bank. He was arrested and transported to the Fremont Jail by Officer Pena for being drunk in public and a probation violation.
 
#001 Outside Assist for Fremont Fire
At approximately 10:00 p.m., Fremont Fire responded to a brush fire in the hills east of Mission Blvd, near Nichols Road. The fire was limited to vegetation but burned close enough to residences that it required a couple of evacuations. Sergeant Gaches established unified command with FFD and coordinated the evacuations. The fire was contained within three hours and no injuries resulted. It’s estimated the fire burned 5 acres.  While assisting with evacuations, officers located a witness who informed officers the fire may have started during a domestic dispute.   Arson Investigator Detective Macdonald notified and the incident remains under investigation.

#027 Stolen Vehicle
While the above fire was unfolding, Officer Vucurevich located a stolen vehicle. The vehicle fled and short pursuit ensued N/B I880 and into Hayward. The pursuit was terminated and the vehicle was later located abandoned by Hayward PD.

#017 Battery Arrest
Officers were dispatched to a fight at a residence on Blackstone Dr.  A 28 year old man, Richmond resident, was arrested after the investigation revealed he was intoxicated and attacking other residents.  He was booked at the FPD Jail for battery and a probation violation. 

#013 Battery Arrest
Officer M. Smith was dispatched to a disturbance at a residence where a 53 year old man was destroying items inside the residence.  He was believed to be under the influence of drugs and  was arrested for battery.

#048 Commercial Burglary Arrest
Employees at a nearby restaurant see a transient male use a shopping cart to smash open the front doors of 99 Ranch Market (south). The suspect, a 39 year old man, went inside the store and stole some fruit before coming back out to the parking lot and taking all his clothes off. Officers arrived and detained the man without incident. It was later determined the suspect was responsible for smashing windows at several other businesses the south-end that night. The man was arrested for burglary and transported for Santa Rita Jail. Case investigated by Officer Pena and FTO Taylor.

#050 Trespassing/Brandishing a Weapon Arrest
Officer Floresca was dispatched to CVS at the Hub for an Ascertain the Problem call. A security guard tried to have a 36 year old transient move along after he found him loitering on the property. The suspect brandished a knife and threatened the security guard instead. The security guard detained the man and called 911. Officers arrived and arrested the man.

14 Calls for service throughout the three shifts involving transient disturbances.

SC Fire/Suicide Attempt
Fremont Fire Dept. requested assistance with a structure fire at Motel 6 (north) to help investigate a fire in one of the rooms.  A man was located with severe burns.  Detectives responded and assumed the investigation which, preliminarily, appears to be an attempted suicide.  Investigation is ongoing.  The male was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. 

#038 DUI Crash
Officers were dispatched to Grimmer/Blacow on the report of a vehicle collision involving an over-turned big-rig crane. Officers arrived and found the 32 year old male driver of the big-rig to be  intoxicated.  Traffic Officer Alexander responded and investigated the crash and arrested the man for DUI.  Due to the size of the big-rig, multiple police units were tied up on scene for traffic control.

#045 Annoying/Molesting a Child
Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on Glenmore Dr. after a juvenile female called 911.  The juvenile victim told dispatchers a man had grabbed her in the community laundry facility and would not let her leave.  As officers arrived on scene they identified the suspect as a 26 year old man, Fremont resident.  Officers located his residence and he was arrested for annoying/molesting a child without incident.

#047 Missing Person 
At 10:20 p.m., officers responded to a missing person report on Mildred Dr.  A 76 year old woman had not returned from a walk she took at 5:30 p.m.  The reporting party told officers, her mother has walked away from the home multiple times in the past and the last time she was located was on the freeway in San Jose.   A grid search was conducted and the FPD tracking K9 officer was consulted however a track was not possible based on the circumstances.  All hospitals were checked in addition to the freeway by FPD and CHP from Dixon Landing to Whipple.  During the canvass a witnessed described a similar looking female walking onto the freeway in Union City around 9:00 p.m.  Union City Police and CHP checked the area and surrounding shopping centers with negative results.  BART, AC Transit and VTA were notified.  A SILVER Alert was initiated along with a community NIXLE Alert with a picture of the missing woman.  At 5:30 a.m., Newark Police located the woman in the area of Central and Cedar in their City.  She was transported to the hospital for minor injuries sustained during a fall.

#005 Theft of Vehicle Arrest
Officer Floresca responded to a collision on Mission and Niles at 12:26 a.m.  According to witnesses the male driver collided with a curb at high speed and then fled from the vehicle.  Officer Floresca located the male fleeing.  The vehicle was later determined to be stolen out of Newark.  A 26 year old man was arrested and booked without incident.

#008 Robbery
Employees from Smart ‘n’ Final called to report that a man had taken several items and threatened the manager when he was confronted.  Officer Trzewieczynski located the 23 year old suspect, a Fremont transient, who immediately ran.  He was captured after a short foot pursuit and arrested without further incident.

#002 Resisting Arrest

Officer Pena and FTO Taylor were dispatched to a transient sleeping on the RP’s property. The suspect refused officer orders and was taken into custody after a brief struggle and placed in a WRAP.  The 22 year old man was arrested for resisting arrest.
