Incidents 308 Reports 33

#015 Battery
Officers were dispatched to a laundromat on Fremont Blvd regarding a battery.  A female victim was assaulted by a known transient.  Officers located and identified the male suspect and the  65 year old was arrested. Case in investigated by Officer Hancock and FTO M. Smith.

#014 Stolen Vehicle & DUI Arrest
At 3:17 p.m., Officer Blanchet was dispatched to a collision at Irvington Park.  A community member called police after seeing a vehicle crash into multiple parked vehicles before colliding with a fence.  It was reported that a group of juveniles were seen running from the collision scene.  All occupants were located by officers.  One adult and one juvenile were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and DUI.

#043 Robbery
Officers responded to Food Max for a robbery.  The suspect stole a bottle of alcohol and threatened to assault the store manager.  The male suspect was located in the area and arrested after an infield line up.  Case was investigated by Officer Blanchet.

#037 Carjacking
Officers responded to a home on Canyon Heights regarding a carjacking.  The victim had responded to the home for a construction estimate with the owner.  After conducting his business he returned to his vehicle.  While sitting in his vehicle he was approached by a 6’ thin build Hispanic male who pointed a gun at him.  The suspect demanded his vehicle keys and belongings.  The suspect then stole his vehicle which was later recovered in the area.  According to the victim the suspect was dropped off by a dark colored sedan with a male and female inside.

#040 Warrant Arrest
Officer Blanchet was dispatched to a report of a woman yelling from inside a tent near the area of Irvington/Fremont.  Officer Blanchet contacted and arrested a 30 year old woman for a felony robbery warrant.

#041 Obstruction/Resisting Arrest
Officer Madsen was dispatched to a report of two subjects having sex in a vehicle parked on Tomales Tr.  Officer Madsen arrived and contacted the couple.  After hearing the female half tell officers she was a minor, the male half (a 21 year-old) ran from the stop.  After a brief foot pursuit, the man gave up and complied with commands to lie on the ground.   He was arrested for obstruction and resisting police as well as a probation violation.  While chasing after the man, the juvenile fled in the vehicle with another man.  Officers have been conducting follow up to identify the female.

#052 ID Theft
At approximately 10:30 p.m.,  a victim called FPD to report that someone had purchased movie tickets with a MasterCard that he still had in his possession.  The transaction had generated the specifics of the movie, show time and seat number in the theater.  Officers arrived at Century Theaters and located a 31 year old man in the theater.  The initial investigation resulted in the man’s arrest, with additional follow up being conducted.

#016 Robbery
A female called from an apartment complex located in the 34000 block of Paseo Padre Pkwy after a male snatched her phone and fled on foot through the apartment complex.  Officer Olvera quickly located the juvenile suspect near Bridgewater Place, and he was taken into custody without incident.  The suspect was identified and still in possession of the phone. 

#032 Felony Vandalism
At approximately 10:40 p.m., FPD officers were dispatched to a call of a subject stomping on a vehicle’s windshield near the Tri-City Homeless Shelter.  Officer Carter arrived on scene and located a 26 year old adult male acting in a hostile and aggressive manner.  The man was taken into custody without further incident and booked for felony vandalism, battery and a probation violation.

#005 Stolen Vehicle 
At 5:37 p.m., Officer Vucurevich located a reported stolen vehicle driving north on I-880.  While responding units were extended, he followed the vehicle to the Nation’s restaurant parking lot in Hayward on Santa Clara St).  He was able to hold the vehicle and its occupants until HPD and FPD units could respond and assist.  The two occupants were compliant and removed from the car without incident.  A 35 year old San Leandro man was identified as the driver and the records check revealed multiple felony warrants for his arrest, active probation status and a suspended license.  He was arrested and booked for all of the above.  The passenger in the car was identified as a 26 year old Hayward resident, also with current searchable probations.   She was also arrested for the stolen vehicle.

#026 & 27 DUI and Resisting Arrest
A resident on Tyler Court called to report a vehicle collision in his front yard.A vehicle had collided with landscape fixtures in his front yard.The resident stated a man exited the car acting erratic and angry.  He then proceeded to enter a nearby residence. Officers received consent to enter the residence where they confronted the 37 year old driver.He became aggressive and a Taser was deployed to assist with taking him into custody.  None of the officers were injured. The man was taken to jail for DUI.
 
#029 DUI Arrest
A collision occurred between two vehicles in the area of Kato Road and Warm Springs Boulevard. The driver of one of the vehicles, a 43 year old adult man, was evaluated and arrested by Officer Blanchet for
DUI.One of the passengers of the other vehicle had a minor head injury. The injured passenger was transported to a trauma center.

#020 and 021 Stolen Vehicle Investigation
Officers responded to a report of a felony hit and run on Fremont Blvd near Cushing Pkwy.  The suspect was last seen running toward the northbound I880 on ramp.  The suspect vehicle was found to be stolen with a stolen plate on the vehicle and several other stolen plates inside the vehicle.  As units were investigating the hit and run, Officer Fuellenbach responded to Industrial Pl for a report of a vehicle that had just been stolen.  It is believed that the two cases are related.

#006 Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Warrant Arrest
CSI O’Neal, Officer Macciola, and Sergeant Sanchez were dispatched to Denny’s Mowry for a reported assault with a deadly weapon after witnesses saw two males fighting and a knife being brandished.  The suspect was last seen walking towards the Lucky’s store on Mowry.  Sergeant Sanchez arrived on scene and locates a 23 year old man.  The man is detained and positively identified by witnesses as the main aggressor.  Unfortunately the victim in the assault is not located as he fled prior to FPD arrival.  The man is arrested for several outstanding warrants by CSI O’Neal and the incident is documented.

#007 Robbery 
Officer Gallagher, Officer Maniego, and Officer Rodarte were dispatched to Hawk Ct. for a reported ascertain the problem call.  The victim reported that two associates of his picked him up from his residence in Newark and drove him to the end of Ram Ct.  One of the suspects brandished a small revolver and demanded the victim’s phone.  The victim obliged and the suspects fled in a 2-door gray Honda with dark tinted windows.  Suspects described as both being Hispanic male adults, one of which was heavy set with slicked back hair; last seen wearing a gray hat and black windbreaker.  Second suspect described as being a heavy set build wearing a red/black windbreaker and a Raiders baseball cap.  Case investigated by Officer Gallagher.

#019 Auto Burglary
Unknown suspect(s) smashed a window of a parked car in the parking lot of Archstone Apartments on Civic Center Dr.  CSO Schwartz documented the incident.
 
#025 Auto Burglary
An unknown race suspect wearing a grey hoody that covered his face smashed the window to a victim’s vehicle while parked at the Target located at Pacific Commons.  The suspect fled in a Silver BMW 4-door 3 series with dark tinted windows.  Follow-up being conducted with video.

#029 Assault
Officers are dispatched to Washington Hospital ER to meet a victim.  The victim reported to the ER staff that he was battered at the Lucky’s in the Brookvale Shopping Center.  The victim was intervening to help a young girl being harassed by a four males.  The victim was punched in the face a couple of times with some type of metal object around the hand of the suspect.  The suspects fled the area with the young girl. The only identifying information was that he believed they were Middle Eastern descent based on the accents.

#044 Vandalism
Officer Davis and Officer Calvin were dispatched to the Lakeview Apartments when security called reporting several suspects were threatening the security guard and threw something at their windshield.  The suspects fled prior to FPD arrival.  Officer Davis took initial report.

#015, #016 & #018 Pacific Commons Shopping Center (5 Guys Burgers)  Pacific Commons Security identified the suspect vehicle through the business cameras.  Officers are following up on the case.

#001/002 Auto Burglary and Grand Theft
A reporting party called to report that his automobile was broken into while he was seated inside of the vehicle parked near the Suju’s on Thornton. After taking a backpack from within the vehicle, the suspects stole a laptop from a customer who was seated at one of the exterior tables. The suspects entered a silver 4-door sedan, unknown make/model and were last seen traveling southbound on Moraine St. The suspects were described as unknown race male subjects, both wearing hooded sweatshirts.

#009 – 019 Multiple Auto Burglaries/Vandalism Cases
Several vehicles were broken into (all via window smash) at the Park Sequoia Apartment Complex sometime between 10 p.m. – 1:45 a.m. Officers spent the night trying to track down potential victims at multiple residences. No suspect information was reported and there were no cameras with video.  Loss included 2 pair of sunglasses.  Some vehicles were rummaged through, while others were not.  Officers were able to track down approximately 10 -12 victims and left business cards on each vehicle where we were not able to contact the registered owner.
