Guerneville remains under mandatory evacuation tonight.
Sonoma County authorities are trying lift the evacuation to residents tomorrow, March 1st, around noon. Crews will be clearing roads and assessing damage in the morning. We are trying to open the town up to residents only. There will be ID checks to enter.
The general public will be allowed in on Saturday morning. We will send out advisements on Nixle, Facebook and Twitter when it opens but we want to give everyone an estimate so you can prepare to return home. This opening remains subject to change if damage is located and so severe that it presents a danger to the public.
