#017 Auto Burglary
An auto burglary was reported on Howe Ct.  Loss included a stereo and marijuana.  Incident documented by CSO Ernst.

#007 Suspicious Circumstances
Officer Blanchet was dispatched to 1st United Services Credit Union when they reported they found a skimmer on their ATM, investigated by Officer Blanchet

#029:  Stolen Vehicle Arrest / ALPR (Automated License Plate Reader)  
Officer Perry was driving through a hot spot for stolen vehicles on Central Ave, when his vehicle equipped with an automated license plate reader alerted him to a stolen vehicle in the  4700  block of Central Ave.  As units were arriving to assist, the vehicle left the area.  Units caught up to the vehicle and conducted a high-risk stop at Driftwood and Rockwood.  The driver a 34 year old adult man was arrested by Officer Perry for possession of a stolen vehicle, false information to a peace officer, driving without a license, and possession of a controlled substance.

#030 Warrant, Possession of Stolen Property and Probation Violation Arrest
Officer Manrique conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle at Curtis St./Omar St. and arrested a 38 year old man for a domestic violence warrant.  A search of the vehicle revealed stolen credit cards, stolen mail, and other stolen property.  The man was booked for his warrant, possession of the stolen property, and for violating his probation. 

#041 Speed Contest Arrest
In response to ongoing street racing activity in the south end of Fremont, Officer Manrique was patrolling the area of Lakeview Court/Lakeview Boulevard when he came upon a group of vehicles participating in a sideshow. One of the vehicles stopped and then made an unsafe turn, almost striking the officers vehicle.  Additional units were summoned and a traffic enforcement stop was initiated.  A 19 year old man was arrested for VC23109(C), engaging in a speed contest on a highway.

#033 Shoplifting
A mother and her juvenile teenage daughter were caught stealing from Target at the Hub.  The mother fled the store in a vehicle but left her daughter behind.  Officers were able to identify the mother and her address.  The juvenile girl was cited for theft and released to a relative.  Additional follow up is being conducted for the case on the mother.  Case investigated by Officer Gentry. 

#034 Sexual Battery
A male customer grabbed a female’s breast while taking a picture with her at a coffee stand located in the 46600 block of Mission Blvd.  The man’s vehicle parked in the parking lot for a short time, but then left northbound on Warm Springs Blvd.  Officer Oliveira located the vehicle travelling near the Warm Springs BART station and conducted an enforcement stop as additional units arrived.  The driver, a 29 year old man, Fremont resident, was positively identified by the victim and arrested for sexual battery. 

4 – Homeless related calls for service

#001 Brandishing a Weapon Arrest
Multiple patrol officers responded to the 3400 block of Peralta Boulevard on the a report of a possible shooting. The reporting party advised his next door neighbor had a firearm in his hand and shot at them. Containment was established along with the deployment of the Departmen'ts armored vehicle. Public address announcements were initiated over the vehicle speaker system and the suspect came out, complying with all directives. During this investigation, it was established that there has been an ongoing feud between next door neighbors. The suspect, a 49 year old man, Fremont resident was arrested for brandishing and two firearms were collected. The reporting party and his family members were not injured in this incident. As the investigation continued, it was determined based on interviewing the involved parties, that the suspect was upset at his neighbor for ongoing noise issues and came outside waving his firearm in the area, including making a distinctive rack of the chamber. No shots were actually fired.  Case investigated by Officer Howell and Field Training Officer Macciola.

#004 Warrant Arrest
Officer Calvin was patrolling the area of California Billiards Club, on Albrae Street and made contact with a 31 year old man who had an active felony bench warrant for his arrest. The man was arrested and booked without incident.

Incident #19007580 – Sideshow Activity
Officers were dispatched to the area of Dumbarton and Campus Dr. on a report of side show activity. Upon arrival, approximately 50 - 100 cars were located in the area. The group dispersed with a portion headed towards Paseo Padre Pkwy / SR 84 and the other portion leaving towards Kaiser / Ardenwood Blvd. Several minutes were spent chasing out smaller splinter groups that remained. After the larger group of vehicles left Fremont’s jurisdiction, the sound of gunfire (potentially automatic) was heard from the area of Thornton Blvd. / SR84 – no crime scene was located. The information was passed along to local law enforcement agencies for officer safety. 
CHP advised FPD dispatch that the group of vehicles went on to shut down the freeway and fireworks were being set off on SR84. Furthermore, rocks and bottles were being thrown at the CHP officers and code 3 cover was requested. CHP cancelled the request after they were able to disperse the group again. The majority of the vehicles were last seen traveling northbound on I880 and out of Fremont / Union City’s jurisdiction.

9 homeless related calls for service, including the following:
-Overton Security called about transients in the creek near Domini Dr. and Runckel Ln.   Zone 2 (north end) units responded and attempted to contact one of the transients who refused to speak with the officers.  Information forwarded to the Department’s Mental Health Evaluation Team.
-Transient was sleeping on the couch at Bean Scene Café and refusing to leave.

#015 Battery Arrest
Officers were dispatched to a vacant bank in the area of Fremont Blvd./Grimmer Blvd. (40645 Fremont Blvd.) regarding a man who walked up to a woman and struck her without warning in the face.  The victim’s injuries were treated at the scene by paramedics.  Officers located the suspect who was identified as a 54 year old man, Fremont transient.  The man was identified and arrested for battery.
