Please avoid the intersection of Blacow Rd. and Central Ave. due to an extensive electrical power surge.
Earlier in the day officers responded to a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Blacow Rd. and Central Ave., which resulted in several down power lines and damage to the traffic signal controller box. The surge damaged all traffic signal equipment and street lights on Blacow Rd. The City’s signal maintenance team and PG&E crews are currently assessing the damage and anticipate it will take a couple of days to complete all repairs.
We have also been notified that PG&E may take longer than expected, to restore power in the area. We appreciate your patience.
