Berkeley PD to Participate in Operation Clear Track
On September 25th, members of the Berkeley Police Department will be participating in Operation Clear Track. Operation Clear Track is an awareness campaign happening throughout the United States and Canada in cooperation with Amtrak and Operation Lifesaver. Throughout the day, officers will be conducting traffic enforcement for motorists and pedestrians travelling over rail crossings in Berkeley. Raising public awareness about the dangers of failing to comply with railroad safety laws is a critical step in preventing railroad-related injuries and deaths in our community.
For more information about the nationwide program, please contact the Amtrak Police Department or Operation Lifesaver.
