#034 Theft
Officer Latimer arrested a female for petty theft and had to get her medically cleared. At the hospital the female became combative and had to be placed in a WRAP.  The female was booked into Santa Rita Jail.

#048 Theft
A female suspect stole items from Kohl’s and got into an awaiting vehicle. Officer Maniego and Officer Manrique were in the area and attempted to stop the suspect vehicle.  As they are attempting the stop, they were also confirming the crime type.  The crime is confirmed to be a theft and the suspect vehicle takes off southbound I-880. Officers do not pursue the vehicle and the information is relayed to CHP. Investigation is ongoing at this time. Case investigated by Officer Maniego.

Homeless Related Calls for Service:
#008 Petty Theft/Warrant Arrest/H&S: Officers were dispatched to Philz Coffee on the report of theft of a cup of coffee off the counter by a homeless person.  Officer Blanchet contacted a 53 year old adult male and at the request of management, arrested the male for theft. 

#028 Drunk in Public: Officers were dispatched to Fremont Bl/Sundale Dr on the report of a male lying on the grass.  Officer Layfield contacted a 20 year old and arrested him for public intoxication.

Cases of Interest:
Robbery
An employee at Sam’s Best Food & Liquor reported a male and female entered the store and stole beer and soda.  When confronted, the male produced a knife, brandishing it at the clerk, and fled towards Peralta.  Officer Francisco located the suspects walking on Peralta near Fremont and detained them without incident.  A 32 year old adult male, Fremont resident and a 35 year old adult female, Fremont resident were positively identified and arrested without incident.  Officer Tucker handled the investigation.

#040 Public Intoxication Arrest
A community member advised a male was stumbling along Thornton Avenue leaning into traffic. Officer Heidebrecht located and arrested a 65 year old adult male for being drunk in public.

#043 Theft Arrest
Target at Pacific Commons reported a female was being detained for theft. Officer Trzewieczynski arrested a 34 year old adult female for petty theft, providing a false identity and for possession of a controlled substance. She also had a misdemeanor warrant.

#002 Robbery/Residential Burglary
At 12:44 a.m., Fremont officers responded to the 35900 block of Nicolet Ct regarding an in-progress residential burglary.  The caller reported that a male was actively trying to get into the residence by kicking the front door.  The suspect, a 39 year old Fremont transient, was able to break the front door and enter into the house.  The homeowner and suspect got into a physical altercation inside the residence.  The first officer to arrive on scene found the suspect and victim (resident) wrestling on the ground.  A baton was utilized  to try and gain compliance however the suspect refused to comply with any commands.  The second officer arrived moments later and found the first officer in the struggle with the victim and suspect on the ground in the house.  Officers disengaged and released the suspect momentarily to allow a Taser to be deployed, which subdued the suspect enough to place him in handcuffs.  The suspect was arrested for robbery, burglary, vandalism and a probation violation. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

#003 Outside Assist
Fremont Fire requested assistance regarding a car fire on Fremont Blvd near Eggers Dr.  Officer Rodarte learns the vehicle belonged to a female who lives nearby and that the vehicle had been parked at the same location for several hours.   There were no signs of forced entry or tampering with the vehicle.  No suspects are known at this time.  Case documented by Officer Rodarte.

Homeless Related Calls for Service:
Transient refused to leave Walgreens on Mowry.
Transient set up camp in the dumpster area of Ramblewood Apartments.
Transient was sleeping to the rear of 37418 Fremont Bl and refusing to leave.
Vandalism:  A transient out of Oakland entered the Starbucks on Boscell and trashed the bathroom.  Investigated by Officer Catassi.
Brandishing a Weapon:  A reporting party from the area of Von Euw/Shinn reported a transient male was brandishing a large knife at people walking in the area. 

#026 Public Intoxication - A customer at Morning Glory Antiques reported a transient male was yelling and cursing and refused to leave when asked. A 59 year old adult male was located and arrested for being drunk in public.

#005 Robbery
A caller on 911 called to report a robbery that occurred in the area of Mowry/Fremont.  The victim said that a suspect dragged her into the street and stole her purse.  The suspects fled in a vehicle similar to a silver Honda Accord on Mowry towards Mission Bl.  Approximately one minute later, a reporting party called to report a tan Nissan Altima traveling 90 MPH and blowing red lights w/b Mowry towards I880.  The vehicle went through several video cameras in the area of Mowry/Farwell and the investigation is ongoing. 

Arson
A resident on Vuelta Olivos reported that Saturday at around noon, a male stopped his vehicle in front of their residence and lit a fire near the house. 

Criminal Threats
A clerk at the AM/PM at Grimmer/Automall called to report a male was threating employees and customers.  The male threatened to “shoot the place up” and threw several items around the store.  The clerk was able to lock the doors and the male drove from the scene.  Another uninvolved caller reported the same male threw a bottle at her car approximately ½ mile away.  Officer Cavaz is handling the investigation and following up on investigative leads.

#019 Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Officers responded to the area of 7-Eleven on Chapel with regard to a man with a knife attempting to attack another male. Traffic Officer Hartman located and detained a 54 year old adult male. The victim alleged the suspect lunged at him with the knife. Officer Floresca took him into custody for an assault with a deadly weapon.

#024 Vandalism
A witness reported a male in the area of Fremont Boulevard/Peralta Boulevard pushed his bicycle into an occupied vehicle causing slight damage. Officers detained a 50 year old adult male on Maple Street and took him into custody for vandalism.
 
Outside Assist
Officers responded to Niles Canyon Road near Sunol, outside of the City of Fremont limits, where a deceased male was found. Alameda County Sheriff’s Office is the investigating agency.

#004 DUI Arrest
Officer Gerber initiated a traffic stop on Irvington Ave at Chapel Way and arrested a 30 year old adult male for DUI and Possession of Drugs.

Homeless Related Calls for Service:
Disturbance:  Officer M. smith contacted four males loitering in front of HSBC Bank in the area of Fremont/Walnut.  All were warned and moved along.
