Pomona Police arrest Commercial Burglary Suspect

NARRATIVE:
On Monday July 30, 2018 at 3:44 am, the Pomona Police Department received a call of a burglary in progress at The Best Agua Store located at 810 East Mission Blvd. A Pomona Police Officer was in the area and arrived on scene within a few moments. He saw the glass on the front door to the business was shattered. A Suspect was exiting this door holding various stolen items in his arms. The Officer attempted to detain the Suspect, but he fled on foot discarding the stolen property as he ran. The Officer chased the Suspect about two blocks before safely detaining him without further incident. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the business. The Suspect was arrested for 459 PC – Burglary and booked at the Pomona City Jail.
