Community

ALICE (Alert, Lock-Down, Inform, Counter & Evacuate) training is being offered to our local business community.

As part of our mission at the Sheboygan Police Department, we strive to work in partnership with the community to fight crime, the fear of crime and disorder.    One of the best ways that we can achieve this goal is through education.

"Unfortunately, violent intruder events have become more prevalent in our society", states Sgt. Kundinger, "and because of this, we have worked closely with the Sheboygan Area School District to develop violent Intruder training for all Sheboygan schools. This training is called ALICE. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Escape)."

The Sheboygan Police Department has also worked with local businesses to help prepare them for such an event by providing ALICE training.

In an effort help educate more community members, the Sheboygan Police Department is offering a free ALICE training program.  This training will be conducted bi-annually and is open to the public; however, pre-registration will be required.  Class size will be limited to 50 participants.  The first class will be held August 8th, at Sheboygan South High School.

If you are interested in attending, contact Sgt Andy Kundinger, (920) 459-3342, Ext. 5106.
